Obituary ~ Denmer Curry.
February 01, 1856 ~ July 07, 1917

Denmer Curry was born in Decatur county, Iowa, Feb. 1, 1856, and died July 7, 1917, aged 61 years, 5 months and 6 days of age.

He spent the early part of his life in Decatur county and about thirty-two years ago he moved to Ringgold county and bought a farm near Kellerton where he has since made his home.

He was married to Mrs. Abby Ramsey, June 20, 1891, and to this union were born two sons and one daughter, all of whom were present at the time of his death. For some months past he was in failing health and since the first of last January he was unable to do any work and his son bert at that time took charge of the farm.

Eight years ago he united with the M.E. church. Mr. Curry was the youngest in a family of five sons and was the last to answer the summons. He did not care especially for a public career, but was a great lover of home and was a good neighbor, a loving husband and an indulgent father. He will be greatly missed by his wife, his three children, and an adopted son and five step-children, a number of grandchildren and many friends.

NOTE: Denmer was interred at Maple Row Cemetery, Kellerton, Iowa.
