W.H.S. MARSH, who will be remembered by many
Lineville people as the
foreman of J.R. BOWSHER's harness shop
several years ago, died at
Trenton last Sunday of consumption. The
Republican says: MR. MARSH had
been in poor health many years and for the
past year had been unable to
work at his trade, that of harness making.
He spent the past summer
with relatives in Michigan, returning home in
the fall, since which time
he has not been able to be out of the house.
He was confined to his
room many weeks and his death was not
unexpected. In fact he fully
realized the fact that his time was
approaching and he made all
arrangements for the funeral himself.

He was a member of Trenton Lodge, No. lll,
A.F.&A.M. for many years and
many of his brethren attended him during his
last illness. The funeral
services were held at the house at 2 o'clock
last Monday conducted by
Rev. Crawford. A large number of the Masonic
Order was present, and
after the services were concluded, the Lodge
took charge of the remains
and escorted the same to the Masonic Cemetery
where the burial service
of the Order was observed at the interment.
