DEATH NOTICE:

ADAIR, Keith Claud, 88, of Osceola, Iowa, died on Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Southern Hills Specialty Care Center in Osceola, Iowa. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Lineville, Iowa, with Pastor Max Carmichael officiating. Interment will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville.

KEITH CLAUD ADAIR ... Keith Claud Adair, son of Claud and Hulda [Wasson] Adair, was born in Woodland, Iowa, on December 23, 1923, and passed away on February 13, 2012, at the Southern Hills Specialty Care Center in Osceola, Iowa, at the age of 88 years.

Keith lived most of his life in the Garden Grove, Iowa, area, where he was a farmer and truck driver. He enjoyed carpentry was a very fine handyman, gardening, hunting, camping, and being with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He attended school in Bethany, Missouri, and Leon, Iowa.

On July 27, 1947, Keith was united in marriage to Ethel Louise Campbell. Louise survives him of the home in Osceola, Iowa. He is also survived by two sons, Mike Adair (and daughter-in-law, Nancy) of Ames, Iowa, and Scott Adair (and daughter-in-law, Judy) of Granger, Iowa; two daughters, Debbie Braby (and son-in-law, Steve) and Jeannie Fox (and son-in-law, John) all of Humeston, Iowa; two brothers, Doyle Adair of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Miles Adair of Mt. Ayr, Iowa; three sisters, Marilyn Porter of Polk City, Iowa, Marjorie Davis of Des Moines, Iowa, and Glenna McClain of Sheridan, Oregon; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister, Jean Batterton.

Keith was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in Japan.
