DEATH NOTICE:

GLOEKNER, BONNIE [BUTCHER], 67, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at her home. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Burial was held at St. John's Cemetery in Placid, Iowa.

BONNIE [BUTCHER] GLOEKNER ... Bonnie [Butcher] Gloekner, 67 of Dubuque, Iowa joined the Lord in Heaven on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at her home in Dubuque.

Bonnie was born in Leon, and was the daughter of Clarence and Sarah [Akes] Butcher, June 11, 1996 she was united in marriage to Allen Gloekner at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Epworth, Iowa. Bonnie was an antique dealer in the Dubuque and Waterloo area for 25 years. She enjoyed song writing (25 of which were professionally recorded) and some of her favorite poems were published in her book titled "Journeys From the Heart."

She is survived by her husband Allen of Dubuque, her three children, Pam, John and Steve and three granddaughters. She is also survived by her siblings, Mary Lou, Jim, Jack, Patty, Chuck and Debra in addition to her aunt Mildred Butcher of Clive, cousins Rosetta Barker of Coon Rapids, Paul and Larry Eastin, Oretta Kelly, Betty Wilcox of Leon, Iowa, Dale Young of Decatur, Betty Schaffer of Osceola, Gary and Donnie Akes, Des Moines and their families.

Services were June 22 with burial in St. John's Cemetery in Placid, Iowa.
