Obituary -

(Perry Daily Journal Perry, Iowa January 22, 1987)

FUNERAL SET MONDAY FOR MRS. WALLACE ... Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Chapel for Avis Lorraine "Sally" Wallace, 70, who died at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday at Perry Nursing Home.

Rev. Myron Maltz, Pastor of Chirist Lutheran Church, will officiate. Buiral will be at the Richburg Cemetery, east of Perry.

Mrs. Wallace was born at Davis City, Iowa, July 29, 1916, the fifth of 18 children born to Ira and Effie Mclain. She moved to Billings in 1936 and later left the area.

Mrs. Wallace returned to the local community in 1952. She and Cecil Wallace were married at Perry, Feb. 7, 1954. She had worked as a cook and waitress. Mrs. Wallace was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Piel, Stillwater; and Doris Jean "Jeanie" Coleman, Wichita, Kan.; one son, Larry Wallace, Billings; one brother Dale McLain, Wichita; four sisters, Bea Willis, Colorado Springs; Anna Mason, Bakersfield, Calif.; and Leslie and Elepha, whose present surnames and places of residences were not available; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
