SYLVIA MAE BOOTH ... Sylvia Mae Booth, daughter of Archie Stewart and Emmaline [Hardy] Kirkpatrick, was born near Cainsville, Mo., on Nov. 4, 1909 and passed away on March 11, 1990, at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 80 years.

Sylvia was united in marriage to Leo Edward Booth on May 2, 1931. Leo survives her of the home in Princeton. She is also survived by her son, Wilbur Booth and daughter-in-law, Myrna, of Cainsville; two grandchildren, Randall Dean and Vonda Booth, of Cainsville; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Claire Kirkpatrick, of Cainsville, and Lois Kirkpatrick, of Decatur, Iowa; and by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Orel, Glen, and Lewis Kirkpatrick.

Sylvia taught school for several years in rural schools in Mercer and Harrison Counties. In September of 1984, she and Leo moved to Princeton after retiring from farming. She was a member of the Liberty Methodist Church, near Cainsville in the neighborhood where she was born. She attended the Princeton Assembly of God church after moving to Princeton.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 14, 1990, at 2 p.m. at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Princeton with the Rev. Howard Leasure, the Rev. Geneva Parsons, and the Rev. Steve Noyes officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery, north of Cainsville.
