W.E. LOCKWOOD, brother of Mrs. F.G. LONG, of near Leon, fell from the roof
of his home in Chicago Saturday, May 29th, while at work replacing some
damaged shingles, and sustained injuries from which he died on the following
Monday. In falling he struck across a picket fence, one of the pickets
penetrating his side and fracturing five ribs. Internal injuries were so
severe that his life could not be saved. Mrs. LONG returned this week from
Chicago where she had been called by the accident and death of her brother.
She has the sincere sympathy of all in her sad bereavement.
