Mrs. SCOTT GARDNER died suddenly Monday evening about 8:30 o'clock at the
GARDNER home in this city. Hemorrhage of the brain was the cause of death.

Mrs. GARDNER had not been in good health for some time. On the day of her
death she had been lying down and had slept for a couple of hours. Mr.
GARDNER was at home and after she awakened he told her that if she was
feeling well he would go up town for a short time. She told him to go, that
she was feeling very well. A short time afterwards some neighbor ladies
went to the home and found Mrs. GARDNER apparently unconscious. A physician
was hastily called and she grew better. Shortly after eight o'clock her
condition suddenly became worse and she passed away in a short time. The
people sympathize deeply with Mr. GARDNER and the bereaved relatives. The
funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Christian Church, with
Rev. Johnson in charge. Interment followed in the Leon Cemetery.
