Thursday, January 2, 1913MARY R. GRAVES was born in Ray County, Missouri, April 3, 1841, and died at
her home in Watonga, Oklahoma, December 20, 1912, being at the time of her
death 71 years, 8 months and 17 days old.She was united in marriage to C.W. MOORE, October 12, 1859. To this union
were born nine children, six boys and three girls, the oldest girl and the
youngest boy preceding her to the great beyond, five boys and two girls
still living. All were present but the one son, GEORGE, who was unable to
attend. She leaves beside her companion and children, twenty-one
grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The remains were brought to
Leon and from there to New Salem Church where she had been a member for long
years. Funeral services were held, conducted by Rev. Chas. W. Reeder, the
house being filled with the old neighbors and friends. Mrs. MOORE had lived
in Eden Township from '59 until a few years ago when she moved to Leon and
from there to Oklahoma. For more than fifty years she had been a faithful
Christian and a member of the Baptist Church. Truly it could be said she
had done what she could.
