DIETER HOMEDALE (Hollywood, CA) ... Klaus Dieter Homedale, son of William and Greta [Jung] Homedale, was born in Weisbaden Germany, on May 12, 1943, and passed away on November 10, 1994, in Los Angeles California, at the age of 51 years, from injuries received from an auto-pedestrian accident.

After graduating from Morman-Trail High School in Garden Grove, Iowa, Dieter moved to Princeton where he was employed by Hy-Vee Grocery, and operated movie theaters in Princeton and Trenton. He later joined the U.S. Navy and worked as a reconnaissance aerial photographer. He served in the Navy for 15 years, and has been making his home in Hollywood, California.

Dieter had been active in Scouting, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and working as an adult leader. He also served as choir director at the Princeton United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his parents, William and Greta Homedale, of Unionville; two brothers, John Homedale of Roeland Park, Kansas, and Mike Homedale of Princeton; and by his four nieces, Jennifer, Sally, Laurel, and Shelby Homedale.

The body was cremated under the direction of Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Princeton. Private family burial of the ashes will be held at the Princeton Cemetery at a later date.
