'Sister Died Same Day Brother Was Buried.'

DAVID E. MILLSAP, a well-known farmer residing three miles west of Decatur, passed away at his home last Wednesday evening at 5 o'clock. MR. MILLSAP was born on the farm where he died, Nov. l0, l854, being 70 years, 4 months and l day old. Short funeral services were held at the home, Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J.E. Habliston, Pastor of the Leon M.E. Church, interment being in the Woodmansee Cemetery adjacent to the home. MR. MILLSAP's sister, MISS REBECCA MILLSAP, who had been in failing health, making her home with him, as neither had ever married, passed away Friday evening. She was born in Indiana, Feb. 28, l849, being 76 years, l5 days of age. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Habliston, it being in the nature of a joint service for both of them and she was laid to rest by the side of her brother in the Woodmansee Cemetery.

OBITUARY - REBECCA CAIN MILLSAP.

REBECCA CAIN MILLSAP was born February 28, l849, in Lawrence County, Indiana. She came with her parents to Iowa in l853, and spent the remainder of her life on the farm where the family settled. She being at the time of her death, 76 years and l3 days old.

To mourn her passing, she leaves three sisters, ELIZABETH, HULDA and HANNA, and three brothers, SYLVESTER, AURELIUS and CORNELIUS. Her brother, DAVID, preceded her in death, only three days before.

She was converted in early life and united with the M.E. Church, remaining a faithful and consistent member until the end. Her beautiful Christian life has been an inspiration to those who knew her. Although an invalid most of her life, she was devoted to the welfare of the home and always interested in the religious life of the community. She was greatly beloved by all, because of her generous hospitality, especially delighting in the companionship of young people, taking pleasure in encouraging them toward a better life.

She was conscious until the end and only a few moments before passing, expressed her willingness for the will of the Lord to be done. Then peacefully, she fell asleep.

Memorial services for her and her brother, DAVID, were conducted at the home, Sunday p.m., March l5th, by Rev. J.E. Habliston, of the Leon M.E. Church, burial being at the Woodmansee Cemetery.

OBITUARY - DAVID ERWIN MILLSAP.

DAVID ERWIN MILLSAP was born November l0, l854, in Decatur County, Iowa, on the farm where he spent his entire life. At the time of his death he was 70 years, 4 months and l day old.

His parents were JAMES and ELIZA MILLSAP. He was the eleventh of a family of thirteen. Four sisters and three brothers mourn his passing, ELIZABETH, HULDAH, REBECCA, HANNA, SYLVESTER and AURELIUS, of Decatur, and CORNELIUS, of Licking, Missouri.

He devoted his entire life to the welfare of his mother, sisters and brothers. In early life, he was converted and united with the M.E. Church and was an active member throughout his entire life, earnestly believing in the importance of the church and was a liberal contributor to every cause.

The religious strain was ever, essentially a part of his character. His was a religion that was practiced every day, and he always kept up the family altar, morning and evening. His life was an inspiration to all with whom he came in contact and truly, the world is better for his having lived.

Brief services were conducted at the home Friday p.m., March l3th, by J.E. Habliston, of the Leon M.E. Church, and burial was made at the Woodmansee Cemetery.
