LILLIE MAY DELK, daughter of JOHN and SARAH DELK, was born at Chariton, Iowa, December l7, l859, and died at her home near Leroy, Iowa, on January 5, l924, at the age of 64 years and l9 days.

In early girlhood she gave her heart to God and has lived a devoted Christian life.

She was married to BART DAVIS, of Weldon, Iowa, on the 23rd of December, l878. To this union were born eleven children, eight boys and three girls, all of whom are still living. ORACE W., of Kersey, Colorado; CHARLES E., and CLARENCE A., of Los Angeles, California; ROY V., of Beach, N.D., J. HENRY, of Leon, Iowa; OTTO E., RALPH E., and FRANCIS A., of Leroy, Iowa, and the three daughters are: MRS. OSCAR ANDERSON, of Weldon, Iowa; MRS. LENA HANDLEY and MISS CLARA, of Leroy, Iowa.

With her husband, MR. BART DAVIS, two brothers and one sister also survive her death. E.E. DELK, of Weldon, Iowa; THEODORE F. DELK, of Portland, Oregon; and MRS. MARY E. REITZEL, of Creston, Iowa.

MRS. DAVIS has been a wonderful mother and neighbor, and in the last few months has bore up beautifully in her illness. All the eleven children were with her during her last few weeks. She was very happy in having them at home once more. There are l5 grandchildren and she dearly loved each one and never tired of doing things for them.

Many friends and neighbors regret her passing and we are linked in a bond of fellow human sympathy and Christian love with the bereaved in this sad hour.
