MISS HANNAH GIBBENS, oldest daughter of MR. and MRS. SOLOMAN GIBBENS, was born July ll, l854, at Newport, Indiana, and departed this life May 23, l923, at the age of 68 years, l0 months and l2 days; at the age of l9 years she came to Iowa and settled on a farm at Grand River with her parents and at the age of 24 she was united in marriage to HARRISON YOUNG. To this union were born 8 children, 2 having preceded her in death in infancy. CHARLES L., and ELLA M., and six living. She leaves to mourn, her husband, HARRISON H. YOUNG and children, ROY, of Scranton, Iowa; and EDD, TOM, HARVE, of Weldon, Iowa; and MRS. JANNIE BLACK, of Osceola, Iowa; and JACK, of Creston, Iowa; and also three sisters and two brothers preceded her in this life and three brothers living, JAMES GIBBENS, of Decatur, WILLIS GIBBENS, of Weldon, and EDD GIBBENS, of Sargent, Nebraska; and 9 grandchildren all at her bedside except two sons.

She was a member of the United Brethren Church until about five years ago and she united with the Assembly of God and lived faithful until death. The funeral was held at the home, conducted by Rev. Peace. The remains were brought to the Van Wert Cemetery.
