SARAH MARGARET, daughter of J.W. and MARTHA PITMAN, was born in Decatur County, Sept. 25, l859, and after a lingering illness of more than a year, was released from her suffering by a loving, alwise Father, in the early morning on Mother's Day, May l3, l923.

She was united in marriage to J.M. CASTER at Leon on August 3l, l879. To them were born three children, IRENA MAY and A.M., of Leon and MRS. MALLIE RICKER, of Lewistown, Montana, who were privileged to be with her and to minister to her wants during the last few months of her illness. She is also survived by two grandsons, PAUL CASTER and JOE RICKER.

In her young girlhood, she united with the Bethel Baptist Church, remaining a consistent member until soon after her marriage she identified herself with the Christian Church of Leon, in which she has continued living a zealous, devoted life, radiating good cheer and Christian influence, having made the world better by having lived in it, though but a few years.

She has served as Bible School Teacher, rarely missing a service for more than fifteen years. She was a charter member of the Woman's Missionary Society. She served as Deaconess on the Church Board and was an active worker in the other organizations of the church. She was true to the Christ whom she loved, and was one of the sweet disposed women, kind to all about her. Her life was ever lived for others, and not one particle of selfishness ever seemingly crept from her dialy life. She
was a woman who understood young womanhood and young manhood, and by her timely advice and wise counsel, greatly encouraged many young Christians.

A kind, affectionate companion, a loving mother and a consecrated Christian, she will be sadly missed in the home, the church and the community. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, May l5th, by Rev. Esch of Cainsville, Mo., at the Leon Christian Church, and were largely attended. Interment in Leon Cemetery.
