MRS. REBECCA ANN WILLIAMS was born in Indiana, November 28, l842, and departed this life March 6, l923, at the home of her daughter, MRS. N.E. PHIPPS, after a long illness, being 80 years, 3 months and 6 days of age. In early life she came to Iowa and was married to W.W. ROGERS at Garden Grove, Iowa. To this union were born ten children, of which six preceded their mother in death. The father and husband died February 22, l9ll. On January 5, l9l7, she was married to JOHN SOWERS, of Leon, Iowa.

She leaves to mourn her departure, a husband and four daughters, MRS. MARY BUTLER, of Redding, Iowa; MRS. EMMA HURLEY, of Des Moines, Iowa; MRS. NETTY JACOBS, of Adel, Iowa; MRS. NANCY PHIPPS, of Leon, Iowa; and a host of other relatives and friends.

After song and prayer at the home of MRS. NANCY PHIPPS, she was taken to Garden Grove, Iowa, where the funeral services were held in the Apostolic Church, this being her faith and belief for the last several years. Services conducted by Pastor, Geo. R. Lamb, of Leon. She was laid to rest in the Garden Grove Cemetery.
