THOMAS ELLISON WILLS, son of CHAS. and ELIZA WILLS, was born in Warren County, Ohio, June l6th, l850, departed this life Nov. 4th, l922, being at the time of his death, 72 years, 4 months and l8 days. He moved with his parents to Iowa in l864. After living here a few years, he moved to Illinois. There he met and married COLUMBIA ELLEN WILSON on Feb. 23, l879. Shortly after, he moved to Alexandria, Mo. From there he went to Kansas, moving to Decatur County, Iowa in about the year l882, where he spent the remainder of his days. To this union were born six children: EVA A. MCGAUHEY, of Kellerton; LAURA BELLE WILLS, deceased; OSCAR WILLS, of Osceola; ORVILLE ELLISON WILLS, of Grand River; ELBA OLIVER WILLS, of Wray, Colo.; MABEL ELLEN EDWARDS, Osceola. He lost his wife June 30, l904.

On Dec. l7th, l9ll, he was again married to MRS. LYDIA FOGLEMAN, of Grand River, and he has lived in and around Grand River till he departed this life. He leaves to mourn his death, his companion; one brother, ANDREW OLIVER, of Leon; five children, seventeen grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

He was converted under the preaching of Elijah Tillotson at the Good Hope School House near Van Wert about the year, l886. At the time of his death he was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He has lived a faithful Christian, always willing and ready to work for the Lord, and in his last hours was continuously asking the Lord to take him into His sacredness and show him the way, and to take care of his companion and the children on both sides of the house.

All the children with the exception of ELBA, were at his bedside at the time of his death.
