WILLIAM O. STILL, son of MR. and MRS. J.N. STILL, was born in Decatur County, Iowa, March 29, l888, and departed this life at the home of his brother, ALVIN STILL, near Davis City, Iowa, April 3, l922; being 34 years, and 5 days old. He was born and raised at the old home of the late J.N. STILL, one mile north of the New Salem Baptist Church. He was always ambitious and wanted to make good so early in life.

He went to Nebraska and was united in marriage to MISS INEZ KERNS, May 30, l9l7. To this union was born one daughter, INEZ MAXINE. They made their home in Nebraska until his health began to fail. His doctor advised him to go some place for a rest, so they came back to Decatur County and his health seemed to improve and they expected to return to their home soon, when he was taken suddenly ill and lived only a few days. He was loved and respected among his friends and neighbors where he was raised and was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge, and in good standing.

While he never united with any church, he gave evidence that he was a child of God and expected to be a follower of the lowly Nazarine. He leaves to mourn, a loving companion, one daughter, an aged mother, three brothers, ALVIN, JIM and EARL STILL, all of this county and four sisters, ALMA OSBORN, of Davis City; ANGIE WALLER, and ALICE MARBLE, of Akeley, Minnesota and NONA CRAIG, of Weldon, Iowa, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was a kind husband, good father and true neighbor.

Funeral services were held at New Salem Baptist Church, April 5, l922, conducted by Rev. Dale, interment being in New Salem Cemetery.
