Fatal Accident.

-- On Wednesday evening, as the train was stopping at the depot, an old man whose name is said to have been TRUESDALE, and who lives at Garden Grove, was killed by falling under the train and a pair of trucks passing over him, cutting off his legs. He had come up from Burlington, and had an appointment to meet a friend (whom he had not seen in five years) at Osceola. He attempted to get off while the cars were yet in motion, but slipped and fell under the wheels. His conduct, all the way up from Ottumwa, had been very singular, and led to the belief amongst the other passengers that he was either intoxicated or crazy. He was aged about seventy and survived the accident for about an hour. The friend whom he was to meet was at the depot -- dead, he having died a few days previous, and his remains were awaiting shipment to friends at the east.
