WELCHER, ROGERS, CROSS

MR. CARL WELCHER and MISS GLADYS ROGERS were
united in marriage at the
home of MRS. ALICE ROGERS, the bride's
mother, in Davis City, Wednesday
evening, June 30th, at 6 o'clock, MR. and
MRS. ROY CROSS were the
attendants, MRS. CROSS being the sister of
the bride. Wm. J. Campbell,
Evangelist of the Church of Christ, performed
the ceremony. The parlor
was beautifully decorated in pink and white
crepe and flowers. About
thirty-five guests, relatives and friends of
the groom and bride, were
present. Promptly at 6 o'clock the bridal
company entered the room and
MR. WELCHER and MISS ROGERS took their places
under the arch and were
united by an appropriate ceremony. The happy
pair received the
congratulations and best wishes of those
present after which supper was
served.

The bride and groom received many beautiful
and suitable presents.
MRS. WELCHER has been a succesful teacher in
the public schools having
taught the last two years in the Davis City
School. MR. WELCHER is a
young man of excellent character and habits.
Both are members of the
Church of Christ. They have the hearty good
wishes of many friends as
they begin life's journey together.

MR. and MRS. WELCHER went to housekeeping on
the farm of Mr. and Mrs.
Sutherlin, four miles north of Davis City,
where MR. WELCHER is
employed.
