Surname: Tullis Horner Cole Horner

Thomas Summerset Tullis was born 02-23-1835 in Rush Co., Indiana to Moses Grooms Tullis and Mary Summerset. He was number 4 out of 10 children. Thomas served as a scout for the Union Army. He was a private in Company C of the 3rd Regiment of the Kansas Volunteer Calvary. He married Henrietta Clay Ogle b.04-24-1844. They had one child, Walter Hercules b.12-23-1871,in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Thomas and Henrietta divorced in Mahaska Co. 05-18-1875.

Thomas then married Mary Emily Horner (date unknown). To this union were born 4 children. Loren, twins Jack and Mary b.07-24-1888, and Pearl Marie b.09-21-1892. At least the last three children were born in Decatur, Iowa.

Thomas left this Earth on 11-18-1912. He is survived by his wife and five children. He was preceeded in death by his parents and 4 siblings.
