Cpl. Orville Edwin Spicer
Orville Edwin Spicer, born February 10, 1910 in Leon, Iowa. Educated in Leon and Decatur County Rural Schools, inducted Dec. 14, 1942 at Camp Dodge. He was stationed at Camp Haan and Camp Irwin, California. Serial number [omitted for privacy] – of the Anti-Aircraft division of the Army. Promoted to PFC in February 1943, Corporal August 1943. Injured by an army truck accident Jan. 10, 1944 and entered Army Airfield Hospital, Victorville, California.
Corporal Spicer’s next of kin is his wife, Rowena, and his parents are Rollie L. Spicer and Iola Main Spicer.
