Upfield Honored by American Legion Auxiliary

Elsie (McMurtrey) Upfield was honored for her 56 years as a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of the Van Wert unit, which was disbanded, and now is a member of Point LeGrove Unit #450, Garden Grove. She has been very dedicated to working for the veterans, serving as District President, Department President and department officer. Although unable to come to unit meetings, she still urges everyone to do their best to work for the veterans and their families, and support them in every way. She resides at "Grandma's House" in Corydon and enjoys visits from friends and family.
