“SOLDIER OF THE WEEK”

Staff Sergeant WALTER A. DAVIS, pictured above, was recently named by Col. JOHN R. KANE, station commandant at Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho, as “Soldier of the Week” in field wide competition. The sergeant, who is the husband of Mrs. RUTH B. DAVIS of Osceola, has been awarded a hand engraved silver bracelet for his demonstration of the highest type of soldierly qualities.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. P. DAVIS of Leon.
