September l0, l9l4

On last Thursday, September 3, friends and
neighbors to the number of
eighty-two gathered at the home of MR. and
MRS. S.L. CRAIG, four miles
east of Davis City, to help them celebrate
their birthday.
There being only a few days apart it was
planned to have the dinner on
MR. CRAIG's birthday, he being 63 years and
MRS. CRAIG 56, August 30.
This day will long be remembered by all who
were there.
A long table was built in the grove near the
house and it was loaded
with the most bountiful dinner that we have
ever attended.
Among the nice presents received was a
beautiful rocking chair presented
by all. There was also a big supply of
melons.

Those present were MR. and MRS. J.D.
MCINTOSH, MR. and MRS. HAYS
MCCLARAN and family, JOHN GIBLER and family,
HOMER THARP and family,
EMMET GRAVES and family, JAMES HAMILTON and
family, MRS. LINSTROM and
daughter, PAUL SCOTT and family, NED SCOTT
and family, THURMAN CRAIG and
wife, QUINNIE HARRISON, JAMES BURRELL, ED
BRAMER and son, S.L. CRAIG and
wife, WARREN CRAIG and wife, MRS. BOYD CRAIG
and son, MRS. ALFRED
BURRELL, MRS. LEE CRAIG, W.T. CRAIG and
family, ALFRED BOYD and wife and
daughter, HARVE CRAWLEY and wife and son,

of the jolly crowd.
