Still Older! This department last month paid tribute to W. P. LAIDLAW, 96, of the Glasgow, Scotland, Rotary Club, believing him to be the oldest living Rotarian. Happy we are to learn this month that while he deserves a largae amount of applause, he isn't the oldest. That honor goes to JONAS HOFFHINES (see cut), of Leon, Iowa, who recently was entertained by the Rotary Club on his 100th-birthday anniversary! One of the few Civil War veterans in Iowa, ROTARIAN HOFFHINES was feted at a civic celebration in the local park, and his birthday was observed by townspeople as "Jonas Hoffhines Day" following a mayoral proclamation.
