Decatur County Journal

ALVIN CASH, son of J.S. CASH, a former
resident of Decatur County, was
united in marriage at Pawnee City, Nebraska,
on May 28th, to MISS RUTH
YORK, of that place. The following account
of the interesting event is
taken from the Pawnee City Republican:

Last Thursday night the Baptist Church was
the scene of a nice wedding.
ALVIN CASH and RUTH YORK were married in the
presence of about
seventy-five invited guests. The north room
or parlor of the church
building was arranged very tastily with rugs,
parlor tables, chairs and
the like, and very daintily decorated with
roses. The young couple came
in to the strains of the wedding march played
by Mrs. Olin Turner, and
stood under a bower of roses, while the
Pastor, R.B. Favoright,
performed the ceremony.

The bride was married in her graduating dress
and carried a bouquet of
bride's roses. The groom was attired in
conventional black.
Congratulations and refreshments followed the
ceremony. Many beautiful
and useful presents of silverware, china,
table linen, etc. filled one
of the tables.

The bride and groom are popular and well
known young people of this
county and have numerous friends. The former
is a graduate of our
public schools and is a bright and attractive
young lady. The groom is
an industrious young man of good habits.
They have the best wishes of a
large number of friends.
