December, 1897Bramon-Young Wedding
Fred BRAMON and Miss Ella YOUNG were married at the home of the bride’s father, Mr. William H. YOUNG at 7 o’clock, Tuesday evening the 7th of December [1897], Rev. J. H. EDWARDS officiating.
The groom resides in Ringgold county, some seven miles southwest of Mt. Ayr [rural Delphos]. We hear of him well spoken of by those who are acquainted with him. The bride is well and favorably known by almost everyone in this community being the eldest daughter of one of our best known citizens, Mr. W. H. YOUNG. We cannot understand what our young men have been about to allow a Ringgold county young son to come over here and carry off our best and loveliest young ladies right from under their noses.
NOTE: Rev. J. H. EDWARDS was an ordained Baptist minister, born John Hole EDWARDS, 25 Dec 1855, Clarke County, Iowa. He was the brother of Abel EDWARDS of Decatur County.
