Most everyone is preparing to celebrate at
Leon.

Misses ETTA and IDA LEWIS spent Friday
evening of last week at C.E.
CHASTAIN's.

J.F. GOODPASTOR and family, of Burrell, also
H. VANOSTRAND and family,
of White Hall, visited relatives in this
vicinity one day last week.

MISS EVA PUGH is attending Institute.

MRS. MCDONOUGH, MRS. GOODSON and MRS. FIELDS
spent one afternoon last
week with MRS. CHASTAIN.

JOHN FROST and SAM SEARS accompanied by their
ladies were up this way
buggy riding Sunday.

The infant babe of MR. and MRS. JOHN CASTER
died last Friday and was
buried Saturday. The bereaved parents have
the sympathy of the entire
community.

Rumor misinformed ye scribe in regard to the
party at MR. MCDONOUGH's as
it was an ice cream supper instead of a hop,
as we stated last week.

MR. GOODSON returned Wednesday of last week
from a visit with his mother
who resides in Illinois.

CHAS. CHASTAIN and family attended church in
Leon last Sunday.

Several from this vicinity took in the circus
at Leon last Tuesday.
