LAST WILL & TESTAMENT, WM. DAY

DAY, STEPHENS, GARLAND, HAYS, DAY, DAVIS, ADAMS, WOOKEY, HEMBRY, GRIFFIN

February 28, l907

The last will and testament of WM. DAY has
been filed with the Clerk of
the District Court. First the will
directs that all just debts
including expenses of funeral and his last
illness be paid. He provides
that a monument to cost $2,000 shall be
erected at his grave and that
$l0 a year be set apart to care for the
graves of himself and his wife,
JANE DAY. A life interest in all property
both real, personal and
mixed, is bequeathed to MRS. DAY. At the
death of MRS. DAY, each of his
brothers and sisters then living are to
receive $l,000 each, the amount
to be sent by the court to the Mayor of
the town in which each one
receiving the same shall live, or some
other responsible person, to be
there invested in property for the said
brother or sister. The brothers
and sisters of MR. DAY are: SARAH
STEPHENS, Somerset, England; ELIZABETH
GARLAND, Godney, Somerset, England; ANNA
HAYS, Vergennes, South Wales;
JAMES DAY, Vergennes, South Wales; GEORGE
DAY, Liverpool, england;
HANNAH DAVIS, Penath, South Wales. At the
death of MRS. DAY, CLIFFORD
ADAMS, of Newport, South Wales, brother of
MRS. DAY, at her death is to
receive $l,000. At the death of MRS. DAY,
THOMAS WOOKEY, who has been
raised by MR. and MRS. DAY is to have a
life interest to all the residue
and remainder of the property and is to
have the full control, use and
benefit of the same, rents and income
during his natural life. Should
MR. WOOKEY be the father of children, the
remainder of the estate goes
to them share and share alike. Should
THOMAS WOOKEY die without issue
the property is to go to the brothers and
sisters of MR. WOOKEY. T.L.
HENBRY and PATRICK GRIFFIN are appointed
executors of the will without
bond.
