Last week was a strong reminder of March
weather.

CARRIE WARNER attended the entertainment
in Leon, given by MRS. GARDNER
and her music class.

MRS. SELLS and MRS. VANDERPOOL took dinner
at MR. AKES last Sunday.

I.P. MARTIN of Leon, was out to his farm a
few days last week and
treated his house to a new coat of paint.

E.H. LEWIS and daughter, ETTA, also Master
PERRY CHASTAIN, Sundayed at
C.E. CHASTAIN'S.

MRS. TURNER returned from Oskaloosa lst
week after a four weeks visit
with her daughter.

MR. and MRS. J.L. MITCHELL of East Eden
Sundayed at WILL ALBAUGH's.

MISSES GARDNER and WARNER called on MRS.
CHASTAIN Sunday evening.

GRANDMA VANDERPOOL is visiting at WM.
AKES.

RUFUS MITCHELL and wife spent last Sunday
at DAVENPORT's and called on
POWERS' Sunday afternoon.

MR. ALBAUGH and family visited at MR.
BURNISON's last Sunday.

CHARLEY MCKERN and EVA BLACKBURN were
married last week and will go to
housekeeping soon. May joy, peace and
happiness go with them is the
wish of ye correspondent.

STELLA MARTIN of near Decatur, spent one
day last week with the MISSES
MANDA and EMMA AKES.

C.E. CHASTAIN and wife were callers at MR.
POWERS' Sunday afternoon

The attendance at Sunday School is
increasing every Sunday. HARVEY AKES
is Superintendent.

SCOTT GARDNER and wife, also SQUIRE COX
and family, visited in these
parts last Sunday.

GRANDPA AKES is visiting his son WM. AKES.
He just returned from a
visit to Henry County.

Several from this vicinity were Leon
callers Saturday.

MRS. CHARLEY CHASTAIN spent last Friday
afternoon with MRS. WARNER.

MR. BURNISON hauled hay from these parts,
Monday.
