Decatur County Journal
April 20, l892

Quite a gale of wind Tuesday and Wednesday
in this locality but no
particular damage done that we have
learned except fences being blown
down.

REV. OPIE preached at Elm Chapel Sunday.

MRS. A.P. PERKINS is on the sick list.

R. HAWKINS and wife attended church at Elm
Chapel Sunday.

Quite an accident happened at the SI ENGLE
saw mill Monday, by the
bursting of a cast fly wheel flying in all
directions; as luck would
have it, no one was hurt. HINK ENGLE says
that he don't want to dodge
the flying metal again.

FRANK KINEER upset his buggy Saturday
night. You must not drive so fast
again FRANK, if you do your better half
will not ride with you.

What makes DAVID PERKINS look so happy?
Because he has a little girl at
his house to call him papa.

MR. COCKERHAM is on the sick list and very
low at this writing.

We suppose that LUTE WALKER has found work
in a harness shop in Chariton
so the InterState Herald says.

Quite a number of relatives and friends
gathered at the house of MRS.
ALICE DILLON, Sunday the 9th, in honor of
her 26th birthday, bringing
baskets and buckets with plenty of good
things to eat. ALICE says come
again.

Most of the men are busy now plowing.

MR. HALSTED and daughter, MRS. ELLIE
GAMMILL went to Lineville Saturday.
