MRS. M.M. BRANNAMAN, who has been visiting in Leon for a few days,
departed Wednesday of last week for Bedford where she is now in charge
of a American Garment Cutter System School.

ABE BLAKESLEY, who had been visiting at Lexington, Nebraska, returned to
Leon last week for a short visit here. He will leave in a few days for
a visit at different points in Kansas and Oklahoma.

MR. and MRS. F.A. BOWMAN returned last Saturday from a several weeks'
stay in Chicago where DR. BOWMAN had been taking a special line of study
in one of the principal medical schools of that city.

MRS. C.E. GRAHAM, of Pleasanton, accompanied by her mother, MRS. M. E.
GRANDSTAFF, of Davis City, was in Leon last Friday on her way to visit
at the home of her brother, R.M. GRANDSTAFF, at Garden Grove.

C.G. KLINE, who is employed at the Wm. Crichton & Son Store, went to Des
Moines last Friday morning for an over Sunday visit with relatives. He
was accompanied by his little daughter, MISS DOROTHY.

MR. and MRS. F.N. SLADE and little son returned last Thursday from
Rochester, Minn., where MRS. SLADE, and also their son, had recently
submitted to operations. Both have recovered nicely from the ordeal.

J.E. ROBINSON, who had been visiting at the home of his cousin, WAYNE
GAMMON, near Leon, went last Saturday to Davis City for a visit there.
His home is in Ottumwa where he is engaged in the real estate business.

MRS. L.A. HARTSHORN and daughter, FRANCES, of Chicago, visited in Leon
last Friday at the home of her sister, MRS. C.E. HENDERSON. They were on
their way to Davis City to visit at the home of H.A. HARTSHORN, her
father-in-law.

MRS. E.H. ALEXANDER and MRS. C.M. MCGUIRE returned last Friday from
Osceola where they had gone to accompany that far their sister, MRS.
A.S. VANDERBEEK, who was enroute to her home at Stafford, Nebraska,
after a visit here.

MRS. S.G. RICHARDSON, of Sayer, Oklahoma, who had been visiting at the
home of her brother-in-law, L.L. RICHARDSON, and at the home of her
father-in-law, near Woodland, departed from this station last Thursday
for her home.

MR. and MRS. J.P. HAMILTON returned home Tuesday evening from Des Moines
where MR. HAMILTON was recently operated upon. MR. HAMILTON has about
recovered from the effects of the operation and feels that it was a
complete success.

MRS. LEE J. LITTLE departed Monday for Oakdale for a visit with her
sister, MISS EVE GARDNER, and from there she will go to Henry County to
visit relatives. She stopped off in Des Moines for a visit at the home
of her aunt, MRS. W.F. GHORMLEY.
