Thanks Nancee for the information. I have a Catherine (Vanderpool) Knight that died in Decatur County between 1867 and 1868. Her husband Samuel G. Knight married again in 1869. I was hoping to find an obit that might indicate when she died and where she is buried. But the available papers do not seem to go back that far. Her family, the Vanderpools, are buried in Bethel Cemetery, but none have stones according to the records. One entry for their burial plot is "daughter of John Vanderpool," that could be her, but there are no dates.
