Bazel Wilson a Pioneer of Decatur County Iowa
Bazel Wilson born 05 Aug. 1813 in NC. Bazel moved to Franklin County, Ind. as a small child. Married Cynthia Adair born Franklin County, Ind. 03 March 1811, married 23 Feb. 1837. First child Martha A. born 1837 Franklin County, Ind. Bazel and family moved to which is now Mercer County Missouri in 1837. Three children born in this County, George W., 19 July 1842, Joseph M., 09 Aug 1844, John, 1846. Bazel and family moved to Decatur County Woodland Twp. Iowa in 1847. Three children born in this county, Margaret, 1848, Elizabeth (Betsy), 1849, William, 1854. Bazel died 27 Oct. 1899 Cynthia died 27 Nov. 1899, both in Decatur County, and both buried at Shields Cemetery.
