W. F. BLAIR
Mr. BLAIR was born in one mile south of the present site of the town of Van Wert where he resided until he reached the age of eighteen. He taught in the schools of the county for five years with great success and then engage in the mercantile business establishing a general store. He has been identified with the business interests of Van Wert from its early day and this coming fall will mark the close of his twentieth year as a merchant. He was married in 1885 to Miss MATTIE C. JORDAN of Garden Grove. They have two daughters. Mr. BLAIR’s store contains a complete stock of general merchandise that includes clothing and millinery. The millinery department is unusually complete and is under the personal charge of Miss. SWEARINGEN, of Des Moines, and experienced trimmer. The latest creations in spring and summer millinery are now on display and the ladies of Van Wert and vicinity are cordially invited to call and inspect the big stock. Mr. BLAIR has the very latest styles in clothing and will make your prices on the same that are surprisingly low. This popular store makes a specialty of fine gents furnishing goods. In the dry goods department the spring and summer dress fabrics are arriving daily. Mr. BLAIR has one of the finest lines of goods to be found in the county. in the grocery department you will find everything new and fresh. Mr. BLAIR buys cream at the very highest market price.
