In my Bio of Andrew Jackson Jeffries (1832, Fayette County, Ohio to c.1930, Decatur County, Iowa)I forgot to mention that Jeffries Creek is named after him. He not only was one of the earliest settlers in the area (1850's) but eventually owned alot of the land along that watercourse. The Creek flows from northern Mercer County, Missouri to northern Harrison County, Missouri. Andy Jack farmed in those two counties as well as Decatur County, Iowa, where he died.
