Biography ~ Frank Angelo Garber
May 08, 1865 ~ November 26, 1964

FRANK A. GARBER Representative from Decatur county. Was born in Decatur county, Iowa, May 8, 1865. His grandparents were pioneers of Iowa, having settled in Jefferson county several years before Iowa became a state. His father was eight and his mother four years of age when they came with their parents to Iowa. He was educated in the rural schools and in the high school of Leon. Taught school during the winter for several years. Was married to Emma Wolff, September 7, 1892. His ancestors for two hundred years have been members of the Church of the Brethren and he has been a member of this church for many years. He has eight living children. Has been a farmer all his life. Never held an important political office. A democrat in politics.

FRANK A. GARBER Representative from Decatur county, was born May 8, 1865, in the township where he now resides. He spent two years on one of his father's farms in Union county. Was educated in the rural schools and in the high school of Leon. Taught school during the winter months. Was married to Emma Wolff of Libertyville, Iowa, September 7, 1892. Has been a breeder of registered Jersey cattle and Chester White hogs and an active member of different pure bred live stock associations. He is a member of the Brethren church. Elected representative in 1916. Re-elected in 1918. A democrat in politics.

NOTE: Frank Angelo Garber died November 26, 1964, Leon, Iowa. Susan "Emma" (Wolff) Garber was born November 17, 1868 and died November 19, 1942. They were interred at Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa.
