On November 14, Kevin Frost was inducted into the Iowa EMS Hall of Fame at the Iowa Emergency Medical Services Association (IEMSA) Annual Conference, for his excellence in service by his participation in Emergency Medical Services in Iowa. Teresa Matthews, DCH Ambulance Director nominated Frost for this award.
After 37 years of dedicated service to the Decatur County Hospital Ambulance, Paramedic Kevin Frost retired in March of 2015.
Kevin Frost was inducted into the Iowa EMS Hall of Fame Kevin began his career with DCH Ambulance in the late 1970’s as an Emergency Medical Technician, working his way to the level of Paramedic and Ambulance Director, a role in which he served from 1989-2015.
Notable achievements of Kevin’s career include implementation of 24/7 in-house staffing of EMS providers at the Decatur County Hospital as well as creation of the Decatur County E-911 Addressing System.
Kevin’s dedication to his community extends beyond his faithful service with DCH Ambulance including serving as a past member of the Leon Fire & Rescue, Decatur County Emergency Management Agency Commission, Decatur County E-911 Council, Decatur County EMS Council and Decatur County Emergency Preparedness Council.
“I think Kevin deserves this award for the many years of dedicated service to the people of Decatur County,” stated Matthews.
