Biography ~ Ira D. M. Stubbart
Graceland University, Lamoni, Iowa

Ira Daniel Mark Stubbart was born in Octavia, Butler County, Nebraska, on February 10, 1888, the son of James Mitchell "Jim" and May A, (Brown) Stubbart. He married Annabele Kinsey on September 8, 1912, in Tyris, Missouri.

Mr. Stubbard came to Graceland in 1913 and joined the faculty to teach mathematics and science courses. He left Graceland in 1914 and by 1917 had accepted a position as Superintendent of schools.

Mr. Stubbard died on November 29, 1952 at the age of 64 years in Cleveland, Ohio.
