Biography ~ Lucille Margaret (Garrett) Higdon
Graceland University, Lamoni, Iowa

Lucille Margaret (Garrett) Higdon was born on December 13, 1906. She served as Dean of Women and a psychology instructor at Graceland College (present-day Graceland University) from 1939 to 1943, and returned to teach in 1965.

Lucille became Earl Terril Higdon's second wife in 1973.

Earl served as an accounting instructor at Graceland from 1935 to 1940; a member of Graceland's Board of Trustees from 1952 to 1964; and acting Graceland president from June 1, 1964 to 1966.

Lucille died on March 7, 1982. Earl died on September 15, 1983. They were interred at Mound Grove Cemetery, Independence, Missouri.
