Lucinda (Burchett) Edwards

Lucinda Burchett was born in Decatur County, Iowa on December 22, 1860, the daughter of Achelis Fannin and Leah Jane (Anderson) Burchett. Achelis and Jane came with the migration of the families from Tennessee to Richland Township, Decatur County, Iowa.

Lucinda taught at the Foland School No. 7, Richland Township, for the Spring 1882 term.

Lucinda and Dennis Taylor Edwards were married on August 18, 1884. They became the parents of William F., James Lansing, and George Curtis. Dennis was born in Davis County, Iowa, on October 23, 1853, the son of William Edwards. He died in Hale, Missouri, on February 13/15, 1941. Lucinda also died in Hale, Missouri on January 31, 1950. They were interred at Hale Cemetery, Carroll County, Missouri.
