Biography ~ Nathaniel B. Warrington

"Biographical and Historical Record of
Ringgold and Decatur Counties, Iowa"
(Lewis Publishing Company (1887)), p. 595:

N. B. WARRINGTON, farmer and stock-raiser, resides on section 15, High Point Township, where he owns 140 acres of land. He was born February 19, 1842, son of ZENA (sic) and MARTHA (BRATTEN) WARRINGTON, native of Maryland, and of English and Irish ancestry. They came to Decatur County in 1853 where they still reside. The father is seventy-three years of age, and the mother sixty-four. Mr. WARRINGTON was reared on a farm, and has followed the vocation of a farmer. He enlisted in defense of his country in 1862, in Company A, Thirty-fourth Iowa Infantry, and served three years. He participated in the siege of Vicksburg, and many other battles of less note, and was mustered out at Houston, Texas. He was married in this county in 1866, to MATILDA E. CASLER, born in Indiana, August 26, 1846. Their children are – LUELLA, FANNY D., MARY and MARSHALL B. Mrs. WARRINGTON died in 1876, and in 1877 Mr. WARRINGTON was married in Appanoose County, to SUSAN C. PARTRICK born in Tennessee in 1850. Their children are – GEORGE E. and MARTHA J. He is a member of the Grand Army of the Republic, and politically is a Greenbacker. Postoffice High Point.

NOTE: Zeno Warrington was born April 9, 1814, and died December 13, 1896. Martha R. (Bratten) Warrington was born November 23, 1820, and died July 14, 1889. They were interred at High Point Cemetery, High Point IA.

Nathaniel B. Warrington died August 21, 1915, and was interred at Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines IA.
Matilda E. (Casler) Warrington died at the age of 31 years on April 26, 1876. John P. Warrington, son of N.B. & M.E., died at the age of 7 months and 19 days on September 20, 1869. Interments were made at High Point Cemetery, High Point IA.

Martha Jane "Lucille" (Warrington) Moorman was born around 1882, married Clark Edgar Moorman (1873-1949)
