Biography of Philip Daily

PHILIP DAILY was born near Elizabethtown, Indiana, January 1, 1838. Moved with his parents to Burlington, Iowa. In 1872 moved to Decatur County, Iowa and lived there with the exception of four years (spent in Shenandoah, Iowa) On January 21, 1858. He married MISS SARAH A. CARNAHAN and had nine children.

When the Civil War began, he enlisted January 5, 1864, in Company D, of the First Regiment of Iowa Cavalry, and did service for his country until February 15th, 1866, mustered out in Texas.

He died April 25, 1908.
