D. M. FERRY, farmer and stock-raiser, resides on section 21, Long Creek Township, where he owns 215 acres of excellent land, beautifully situated in Long Creek Valley. He was born in Washington County, Maryland, February 12, 1852, son of ISREALAND and SARAH A. (MARRIS) FERRY, natives of Ohio. He was married in 1864, to -------, and their children are ----- REBECCA M. and ELLA V. in 1876 Mr. FERRY went to California. In 1881 he came to Decatur County, and has since been engaged in farming and raising stock. He owns one of the best farms in Long Creek Township. He has one brother – F. M. FERRY. Himself and wife are members of the Holiness church.
