Freddie Aaron Ware
Freddie Aaron Ware was born September 16, 1888, near Lamar, Kansas, the son of Eli Newton and Anna Chancellor Ware. He moved to Scotland County as a young boy living most of his life in Scotland County. He passed away February 9, 1980, in the Scotland County Memorial Hospital, Memphis, Missouri. He was 91 years of age.
He was united with his Lord and Christian Church at Bible Grove, Missouri, when he was a young man. He lived and farmed near Bible Grove most of his adult life, retiring and leaving his farm home January 1976, when he was unable to care for himself any longer. He went to live with his niece and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Peterson, where he lived for three years. In April 1979, he moved to the LaBelle Nursing Home, LaBelle, Missouri.
He was married to Sylvia Blaine.
Surviving are two sisters, Edna Blain(e) of Memphis, Missouri, and Viola Lasley of Bloomfield, Iowa; a great-niece whom he raised and loved as a daughter, Mary Evelyn Rude Pakham; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephew whom he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, James R. Ware of Parma, Idaho, Harry C. Ware of Memphis, Missouri, and Andrew Ware of Portsmouth, Ohio; two sisters, Ellen Blaine of Downing and Susie Regnold of Memphis.
He was also a carpenter and blacksmith and a kind, helpful person whom many loved and will greatly miss.
Funeral services were held in the Payne-Gerth Chapel, Memphis, Missouri, Tuesday, February 12, 1980, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Kenneth Campbell officiated. Burial was in the Bible Grove Cemetery, Bible Grove, Missouri. Body bearers were Dean Frederick, Rex Coffrin, Okie Bradley, Carl Blaine, Gale Lancaster, and Roscoe Frederick.
