A sad occurance was that of the death of Sister Emma M Clyman, on Friday morning at one o'clock, June 27, 1897. The funeral services were conducted on Sunday by the writer a the Christian Church in Drakeville. The weather was rainy and the roads were bad, but a large number of people attended the services and may accompanied the body to the cemetery, where it was interred. Emma M Clyman was the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Albert G Clyman. She was born in Davis County, Iowa, March 3, 1875. She was converted and joined the church of Christ in December 1891, and continued the faith until she was called home. On April 23 alst, she first said "Papa, I am sick." She kept her bed from that moment, until about the 15th of June, when she, in the spirit of Queen Esther, said she would lay away her mourning garments and put on her glorious robes, and for the last time in this life visit her brothers and sisters. the buggy was soon in readiness when Emma with the spirit of the queen, got in the same, and visited Samuel and wife, Joseph and wife, Perry and wife, and on the evening of the 3rd day went home resigned to death, saying Thy will O God be done. We visited her the morning before her death. Emma was reconciled to God and ready to go to His Paradise. The old soldier A J Clyman has the sympathy of all who know him. He has said goodbye to wife, two daughters and one grandchild. all but one within less than two years; but he says, we hope for that we see not with patience we wait for it.
