SHARON DAVIDSON

Sharon Kay Davidson, 66, of Bloomfield, died Sept. 18, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born Sept. 26, 1944, in Moline to Chester Jacob and Evelyn Martha (Veverka) Raske. She married James Davidson Jan. 4, 1964, in East Moline. Sharon was a homemaker and drove a school bus for Davis County Commuity Schools for more than 20 years. She enjoyed reading, going to sporting events, cooking and painting. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Mark Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband; five sons, Rick (Lyn) Davidson, Steve (Crystal) Davidson, Mike (Jody) Davidson and Jake (Vanessa) Davidson, all of Bloomfield, and Greg (Krystal) Davidson of Eldora; 14 grandchlren; four brothers, Tom Raske of Geneseo, Ill., Robert Raske of Davenport, Steven Raske of Colona, Ill., and Brian Degen of Nashville; and two sisters, Judi Raske of South Daytona, Fla., and Barbara Penny of South Pasadena, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Cody Davidson; and a sister, Ann Mitts. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield; Pastor Gary Axtell officiating. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Wednesday with the family present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Mark Baptist Church.
