Glenn W. Sprouse, 90, of rural Selma, died at 6:58 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.
Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Glenn W. Sprouse, 90, of rural Selma, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.
A funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron and the Rev. Mark Young officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in rural Floris.
Visitation opens at 3 p.m. Friday with family present from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials to Selma United Methodist Church may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 12103 Yam Blvd., Selma 52588.
Mr. Sprouse was born March 22, 1924, in Milton, the son of Alva and Iona Reisch Sprouse. He married Fern D. Richardson Aug. 2, 1945.
He lived most of his life in rural Davis County.
He graduated from Bloomfield High School.
He owned and operated the U.S. Mail Star Route truck, hauling mail between several local post offices and Ottumwa on a daily basis. He also had been employed for many years by Kaser Construction Company and Douds Stone Inc. as an equipment operator.
He was an active member of the Selma United Methodist Church and had served on several committees.
He enjoyed watching his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ronald Sprouse and spouse Kathy of rural Selma, Gary Sprouse and spouse Sheri of rural Bloomfield, and Duane Sprouse and spouse Patricia of Keota; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Ramon and Dale Sprouse and an infant, Cecil.
