BLOOMFIELD.
The body of Mrs. Minerva Galpin, whose death occurred Monday at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Cruikshank in Des Moines, has arrived here.
The funeral will probably be held tomorrow morning. Mrs. Galpin was a
native of Indiana, being born 70 years age. She moved with her parents to
Davis county In 1849 and until recently had made her home here. She was
married in 1859 to George Galpin. Eleven children, twenty-four grandchildren And three great grandchildren
survive. Her husband and two children preceded her in death. Mrs. Galpin had been a member of the Baptist
church since childhood.
