Mrs. Daniel LaFollette. Mary Margaret Jane Butt, the only daughter of Mary and Wilfred Butt, died at her home east of Blakesburg on Saturday morning at 2:30 o'clock September 17. She was born in this county January 18, 1846. At the time of her death she was 64 years and 8 months old. She was married in 1880 to Daniel LaFollette. To this union were born four children Millie at home, Lonnie of Colorado, Nora died in infancy, and Albert of South Dakota. She was a member of the church, giving her heart to God in childhood. She was a faithful and loving wife, a kind and affectionate mother, and a good neighbor. We know that we express the sentiments of all who knew this noble woman when we say that if everyone to whom she did some loving service were to lay a blossom on her grave she would sleep beneath a wilderness of flowers. Funeral services were held in the Baptist church of Blakesburg conducted by E. A. Hasting of Bloomfield.—Contributed.
